Use Your Talents

The Loan Fund is  an enterprising non-profit organization, so we want our volunteers to be enterprising as well. Outside the box thinkers. People who are doers. People who really want to make a difference.

Board Members
We currently are seeking five creative, committed individuals to join our team of board members. We finished a major project last year; the Social Enterprise Hub. Now we have to see where we are headed over the next 5 years. How can we scale our impact with our partners at the Hub?  Can we take advantage of a new tax credit for investors to build our pool of capital? Can we continue to build a social real estate segment, to increase impact? And how do we grow proven pieces of our work like enterprising women and financial literacy?

Sound interesting? Our Annual General Meeting will be held September 28th, at noon at the Hub where we will present our new slate of Board Members. Maybe you'll be on it!

Areas of expertise we  are looking for include the following:

Strategic planning / change management
Marketing / story telling / graphic design / social media
Website management
Fund development / sales / relationship management
Event development / management
Social entrepreneurship / community development
Administration / Operations management
Legal / accounting
Social work / counselling
Finance / lending / business analysis
Real estate development
Human resource management
Curriculum development / training expertise

Our policy is to have a gender balanced board that reflects the diversity of our community. Our board meets once per month.

Volunteers
Mentors and speakers  - guest speakers are always required for Enterprising Women and for business panels
HubCupSJ - right now could use volunteers to manage all aspects of a major sporting fundraiser
