Blog Post by Erica Lind, Finance Development Officer
My name is Erica Lind and I have been the Finance Development Officer at the Saint John Community Loan Fund for about three months. Last summer, I completed my Master of Business Administration internship here through the University of New Brunswick. I am happy and grateful to have been invited back as a full-time staff member.
I moved to Saint John from Lethbridge, Alberta in 2014. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology at the University of Lethbridge (U of L) in 2010 and managed the University’s annual fundraising programs for several years. My work at the U of L included implementing and running a student call centre, coordinating direct marketing appeals, and leading a volunteer committee of faculty and staff. I was awarded the TD Insurance Meloche Monnex fellowship during my time at the U of L; coincidentally, my new colleague Pauline Waggot was awarded this same fellowship, which is given to only two individuals across Canada each year. I am excited to work with such like-minded and skilled colleagues!
I am passionate about social responsibility and having a positive impact on my community. It is such a thrill to combine these passions with my professional experience and MBA degree in my new role at the Loan Fund.
